Recreational Program Information


General Information:

★ Rec games begin May 4 and 5 and finish in June. 

★ Game start times are between 6pm or 8:30 pm and may vary throughout the schedule.

★ 
Rosters and schedules will be made available approximately one week before the season begins. 

★ All games are played during inclement weather with the exception of lightning or poor field conditions.

★ Weather cancellations will be posted on the CR United website and notification through email ASAP - no later than one hour before a game. If you are uncertain, please contact your coach.

COACHING




CR United Soccer Club
 relies totally on volunteer coaches for Recreational teams - please consider volunteering to coach your son or daughter's team! It is an experience they will remember and treasure.

★ The Head Coach will receive a coach jersey and availability to borrow team practice equipment for the duration of the season.

★ One Assistant Coach per team will receive a coach jersey.

★ Coach Training will be provided at the beginning of the season.

★ The CR United website has a variety of coach education materials to assist you in coaching the team. Contact the Recreational Director if you need further resources. 

★ Coaches are expected to attend a mandatory meeting held prior to the season start.

VOLUNTEERING

Volunteering

All families must volunteer two hours of their time to the program per Recreational player. If you are a head coach or assistant coach you are exempt from this requirement. CR United is able to keep costs lower due to volunteer involvement. Volunteer opportunities will be emailed out as they come available from the Volunteer Director. If you are interested in Coaching please note this on initial registration. 

Buddy Requests

Buddy Requests: Our goal is to make the soccer experience fun and fair so we will only allow up to 2 requests per team, on a first come, first serve basis and will have NO guarantees. All the children are on the same area of fields during play so will see others they know. After rosters are posted there will be NO changes to rosters, please understand team formation is not a quick process for the Recreational Committee and changes after the fact can cause confusion to children/players and Coaches. No Refund Requests will be honored due to not receiving a buddy request. 

Special consideration may be granted for the following circumstances and requests must be submitted on original registration to be considered:

  • For a sibling or relative. If the children are in two different age groups, the younger child must play up to the older child’s age group.
  • For co-coaching arrangements.
  • For new players to the program. New players should note this in their comments.
