CR UNITED SC COMPETITIVE
Competitive Soccer
Competitive soccer at CR United Soccer Club is an opportunity for your player to play soccer at a higher level than they would
in recreational leagues. Your player will receive technical skill development and tactical trainings throughout the year from our CR United trainers and coaches in a fun and challenging environment. They will play games appropriate to their age and level of play while being personally challenged to develop as a player and leader.

Time Commitment
Our coaches and trainers encourage our players to practice daily. In the competitive program, its recommended teams have at least three soccer events per week during the fall and spring seasons. This may vary depending on the competitive level of the team and the coach. These events would include games, team trainings and CR United SC Club training sessions. While our program is a full year commitment, we understand that players have activities outside of soccer as well. We encourage our players to attend as much training as possible but understand there will be conflicts. Communication of conflicts between the player, parents and coaches is highly encouraged.

Team Coaching and Management
Coaches and assistant coaches are volunteers unless the team elects to hire a paid coach. Each coach is expected to take advantage of training available to them through CRU and Minnesota Youth Soccer Association (MYSA) to develop skills needed to help players develop and progress. Coaches set practice schedules, create practice plans and manages games.
Managers are also volunteers and function as the communicator between the team parents and coach. They register teams for tournaments, collect fees and update the team with important information from the coaches and CRU.
