CR United Soccer Club

Volunteering for CR United

CR United SC is a fully based volunteer run club. We realize the importance of volunteers to have an affordable opportunity for our players and members. Below are guidelines regarding the volunteer requirements for each player's family.

Recreational/Comp Prep Program Volunteer Requirements

  • 2 volunteer hours per family
  • Volunteer hours must be completed by the end of the registered session
    • Mid-October for the fall session
    • July 31st for the summer session
  • Volunteer hours are fulfilled in concession stand, tournaments and other events hosted by CR United SC

Competitive Program Volunteer Requirements

  • $300 deposit check maximum per family
    • The check will be shredded upon completion of the required volunteer hours
  • 6 volunteer hours per family
  • Volunteer hours must be completed by July 31st of the registered session (August 1 - July 31)
  • Volunteer hours are fulfilled in concession stand, tournaments and other events hosted by CR United SC

Other Notes:

  • Head/Assistant Coaches (either recreation or competitive), Team Managers, Board Members, and Committee Members do not need a deposit or to complete other volunteer hours as these roles more than fulfill the volunteer requirement.
  • Volunteer hours can be completed by a family member, relative, or friend on behalf of the player. Volunteers must be at least 16 to work in the concession stand.
    • Younger volunteers can be accommodated for certain other opportunities such as TOP Soccer
  • Volunteer hours do not carry over from the previous season/registered year.
  • Volunteers must complete their entire volunteer obligation in order to NOT have their volunteer deposit check cashed.
    • Partial completion of hours will not result in partial return of volunteer deposit and hours do not carry over to the next season
  • There will be no exceptions. Every family must submit a deposit check and accept the volunteer agreement during registration.
  • Players will NOT be allowed to play until the deposit check and this signed volunteer agreement have been received (player passes will be suspended/inactivated)
  • Volunteer opportunities will be posted via the SignUp.com website, and emails will be sent notifying families when volunteer opportunities become available. Please sign up for your hours online via the SignUp.com website.

FUNDRAISING: Hands of the Kingdom

NOTE
*Participation in this program is NOT required and does not fulfill the CR United club required volunteer hours.*

Hands of the Kingdom (HOK)
is a non-profit group that organizes concessions sales at various events around the Twin Cities.  Some venues require training, others do not.  The amounts earned per event/venue vary.  Once you have worked, you submit a form to request disbursement and the check is sent once the funds have been donated.  This will not impact any taxable income for you, as, HOK is non-profit and the funds are going to another non-profit (CR United).

Below are multiple opportunities for fundraising. Please direct any questions to Adam (Hands of the Kingdom) via the clicked link.

CR United Soccer Club is not the coordinator or organizer of these events. They are opportunities managed by Hands of the Kingdom and can help reduce the cost of soccer registration fees, helping everybody play soccer by reducing financial burdens.

TCF Bank Stadium

The game time for November 9th has been announced as an 11 am game, which means an 8 am report time and will be done by mid-afternoon. It's expected to be a busy game and volunteers are needed!

The final game of the season will be on Saturday, November 30th. The time is still TBA for that game.

Target Center

All Target Center events are posted through the link. However, HOK is mainly a supporting role for Totino Grace. If you sign up for events and there are eventually no spots available, they will be deleted in advance. If Target Center has additional volunteer needs, HOK will send updates on the opportunities. The best way to gauge availability and interest in advance is if you sign up for events on the signup link.

US Bank Stadium

There continue to be opportunities to fill in for Vikings games and other US Bank stadium events. All dates/times are listed via the link. Dates will also be added to the signup, with many High School tournaments in the coming weeks.

Other Venues

Stay tuned for potential staffing needs at various U of M venues as the basketball and hockey seasons get underway.

Information should be provided by early 2020 about training for next spring/summer at Allianz Stadium and Target Field. As we enter the new year, HOK will provide more information on potential commitments for upcoming seasons.
