Joining a committee is a great way to get involved and showcase your strengths! Several committees are looking for people to help bring the CR United Soccer Club's vision to life: promoting the sport of soccer; providing a safe and healthy atmosphere for our members to participate in organized competition; ensuring our members develop proper skills and sportsmanship; improving the welfare and recreation of the community through the sport of soccer. In short:

CR United SC Bylaws regarding committees:
The powers of the committees will be established by the Board of Directors with the committee resources acting on behalf of the membership. All policies established by the committees will be approved by the Board of Directors. All committees will send in reports of their activities to the Secretary by the end of the month. 

Competitive Committee (Section 3.02)
The Competitive Committee meets monthly and is made up of the Competitive Director and Director of Player Development and Coaching. Any member of CR United Soccer Club in good standing can be appointed by the President at the recommendation of the committee chair. The committee oversees and administers the competitive program.

Recreational Committee (Section 3.03) 
The Recreational Committee meets monthly and is made up of the Recreation Director, age group coordinators. Any member of CR United Soccer Club good standing can be appointed by the President at the recommendation of the committee chair. This committee oversees and administers the Recreational program. 

Fundraising Committee (Section 3.04)
The fundraising committee meets monthly and is made up of the Fundraising Director, and members of the current Board of Directors. Any member of CR United Soccer Club in good standing can be appointed by the President at the recommendation of the committee chair. This committee oversees and administers the Fundraising initiative for CR United Soccer Club.

Marketing Committee (Section 3.04) 
The marketing committee meets monthly and is made up of the Marketing Director, and members of the current Board of Directors. Any member of CR United Soccer Club in good standing can be appointed by the President at the recommendation of the committee chair. This committee oversees and administers the Marketing initiative for CR United Soccer Club.

Tournament Committee (Section 3.05)
The tournament committee meets monthly and is made up of the Tournament Director, and members of the current Board of Directors. Any member of CR United Soccer Club in good standing can be appointed by the President at the recommendation of the committee chair. This committee oversees and administers the tournaments for CR United Soccer Club.

2020 Rec Season

Rec Committee Description

Position(s) report to acting CR Soccer Club Recreational Director

Organize assigned age group by assigning players and coaches to teams.

Attend recreational meetings leading up to the season.

Send out correspondence to coaches/team managers about events such as: start dates and times, team picture information, coaches meetings, and other communications as determined by the recreational director.

Assist with communications to parents and coaches as needed via email, phone or at the fields.

Participate in the summer jamboree after the spring/summer session.

Promote the club to the community.


Commitment and Requirements

Attend a minimum of 80% of the meetings per year.

One year commitment.

Estimated Time commitment: about 5 hours a month leading up to season and 3 to 5 hours a month during the season.
