SMSRA: Southern MN Soccer Referee Association
Dedicated to serving the soccer referee community of southern Minnesota

We are always looking for referees and we would like you to share with your team coaches, and players to see if we can get interested for the upcoming year.

If you enjoy soccer, becoming a soccer referee might be a great match for you!

Southern Minnesota Soccer Referee Association (SMSRA) is looking for Adult and Youth to become USSF certified soccer referees. You must be 13 or older to register.

Go to www.smsra.org or contact one of the individuals below for more information

Dan Freudenburg: [email protected]  - SMSRA Education Coordinator

Wayne Lemens: [email protected] - SMSRA President, and referee assignor

Sarah Simerson: [email protected]  - Austin area referee assignor

Helen Williams: [email protected] – Winona area referee assignor

You will register at www.minnesotasrc.com. On the Minnesota SRC homepage, there is a “new referee info” button. Click on it and it gives you all the information needed to register as a new referee. There is also a link on this page for parents to learn about the young referee’s expectations and challenges.

We provide on-field training as part of our education.  This comes in various forums including mentoring by senior referees.

You will need to pay your fees, complete online video training, and take a test. We are in need of referees and are willing to help new referees with each step.

Thank you for your support,

William Taylor
