Each year Minnesota Rush awards The Fuad Mansour Scholarship to past players, coaches, or volunteers. Fuad Mansour is viewed as one of the founding individuals for soccer in the Rochester and surrounding communities. Mr Mansour volunteered countless hours to build the first soccer association in 1975 called Rochester Youth Soccer. Rochester Youth Soccer started with 160 players ages 8-18 and has grown into what it is today. Without the countless volunteer hours that Mr. Mansour and many others dedicated to the program, we would not be here today.
MN Rush continuously wants to recognize individuals annually in our club that have volunteered their time to make it better. The club hands out up to $3000 annually to individuals that demonstrate the foundational belief of volunteering. If you have helped the club in a volunteer way, and are looking to attend higher education, please consider applying for the scholarship.
