Fall 2021
Birth Year Guidelines
Fall 2021 Birth Year Guideline
2008 - U14
2009 - U13
2010 - U12
2011- U11
Compared to the Spring season, the Fall season is much shorter, running from late August to mid October and includes three tournaments for U11-U14. The number of teams formed and the age groups included are based on the level of interest within the club. With the growth of high school 9B (8th-grade teams) in Rochester, the U14 age group is not always an option for the club.
**Players that want training but are at an age group that cannot field a team are still welcome to participate and train with our coaches.
Season Dates:
Starts: Monday August 30th and runs until the weekend of October 16th
Practice Location:
McQuillan Soccer Fields (Previously known as Kepp Fields) - 20th Street SE and Marion Road Intersection Near the Armory are under construction. We are working with the city Park & Rec department to find a new location for Fall 2021. Please keep in mind we might not be able to find one location for all teams.
Team Formation
Teams will be formed by MN Rush Assistant Technical Director (Angelo Tartaglia). MN Rush's Competitive Tournament Only program does NOT use tryouts to form teams. Players aged U11 thru U14 are invited to register.
Training
All MN Rush Tournament Only teams are coached by professional coaching staff provided by our coaching provider Tetra Brazil, and selected by our Assistant Director of Coaching. Some of the details of the MN Rush training program are as follows: Teams will be coached according to the Club's curriculum. During the Fall all teams practice twice a week, M/W or T/TH. Fall practice sessions will run from 5:30 to 6:45. Training only options are available for players new to soccer, or those who wish not to participate in tournaments. Attendance is strongly encouraged, and absences may affect playing time.
Tournaments
The MN Rush Competitive Tournament Only program is a training and tournament based program. Below are some details regarding this program. Tournaments are typically in the Twin Cities and held on the weekends. The new MN Rush uniform kit (details below) will be required to participate in tournaments. Training Only players will automatically be placed into MN Rush guest player pool. All teams will be registered for and participate in 3 tournaments:
1. Eagan Wave or Prior Lake (Sept)
2. NSC Fall Cup (Oct)
3. Either:
a. Woodbury Fall Classic or (Oct)
b. MYSA State Tournament (Oct)
Tournament fees for these three tournaments will be collected at time of registration. Note: Specific tournaments and/or dates are subject to change based upon availability.
Uniforms
For the Fall 2021, our new uniform cycle will start- all players will need to buy a new uniform kit. Kits will include home and away socks, shorts, and jerseys. Kits are currently anticipated to cost around $170( this includes taxes and shipping) We will have these uniforms for 2 full years. Uniforms are at the office, inside Soccer World, for players to try on. Please email the office or call to set up a time to stop by. PLEASE NOTE: With the new jerseys we are reassigning jersey numbers. Every attempt has been made to keep prior numbers, but this cannot be guaranteed.
