Through the Minnesota Rush Rec league, Winona teams play other teams from Rochester and the nearby surrounding communities at the Watson Soccer Complex in Rochester. To encourage a fun and developmental atmosphere, each child plays at least half of each game, no matter the skill level. Scores and league standings are not recorded.
Winona grades 3, 4, and 5 based teams will practice in Winona and travel to Rochester three times during the season- 9/18, 10/2, and 10/16. The Winona kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade based teams will not travel to Rochester, instead they will have inter-squad scrimmages in Winona.
Winona teams will be formed based on gender for each grade with the possibility of combined grade levels:
- Kindergartners and 4 year olds- this age group will not travel.
- 1st/2nd graders- this age group will not travel.
- 3rd/4th graders
- 5th/6th graders
Our REC program is coached by Volunteer Parent Coaches. Without Volunteer Parent Coaches we do not have a program! Please consider volunteering to coach your son or daughter. MN Rush will provide lesson plans, resources, and any other help you might need. Again, we can not have a program without Volunteer Coaches
