Alvaro has been involved with soccer his entire life as a player, referee, and a coach. He has been coaching for 10 over years and has a US Soccer D license. His coaching style has an emphasis on technical/tactical awareness, proper soccer techniques, and speed of play. Alvaro feels that fun practices are the key for a true player development program, with a focus on the fundamentals of soccer. In his view, practice is for long-term development, not just about winning the next game. Alvaro likes to join the practice at times to show his players that everyone can have fun in a soccer game/practice. Alvaro speaks fluent Spanish and his hobbies outside of soccer include enjoying the outdoors, hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding.
Personal training: Alvaro trains on all aspects of a soccer player including shooting, awareness, speed of play, good passing technique, etc.
