PANTHERS - U12 and U13

RECAP OF THE SEASON

VICE CHAMPION SOCAL FLIGHT 3

The Panthers end the season 8-1-3, with only 6 goals allowed all season,
and the top goal differential in the league at 36
They will move to Flight 2 next fall.

Coach Josue:
"My best memory with this team is seeing how much we improved by mid-season — with cleaner passes and a real understanding of how to play the game. The connection between players and parents grew stronger every week, creating such a positive atmosphere. It was truly special to see everyone so happy to come to practices and games.

The girls raised their level through hard work and dedication. This was my second season with this team, and the progress from our very first game together to now has been incredible.

Thank you, Panthers, for an amazing season!"

JOSUE CASTILLO - HEAD COACH

Josue has 17 years experience coaching youth soccer. He began with Real California in Camarillo, moved to France and coached there for a few years, before moving back to California and coaching in Newbury Park since 2015. In 2022, his G2009 team was a State Cup finalist. Josue has a US Soccer D license and also holds a French Soccer U13 license.

Josue believes that success will come only with hard work. He tries to be creative in practice and is always looking for new drills. In addition to English, Josue also speaks Spanish and French. In his off time, Josue enjoys dancing, 80s music, and spending time with his two sons.

Personal training: In his training, players will work a lot and learn as fast as they want. Technique is priority with conditioning and a lot of repetition.
