WHY VOLUNTEER YOU SAY?
⚾️ Make a Difference! ⚾️
Citrus Heights Little League is 100% volunteer-run—including every Board Member. No one earns a paycheck; we serve simply because we care.
We're more than just a baseball league—it’s a place where character is built, leadership is nurtured, and community values are passed down. We’re shaping tomorrow’s leaders, one player, one family, one act of service at a time, and we'd love for you to join us!
⚾️ Volunteers Make It All Happen!! ⚾️
Citrus Heights Little League relies on a dedicated team of parent volunteers to keep things running strong. Each family is asked to contribute approximately 10 volunteer hours per player, per season—and every hour makes a difference.
We’re always looking for responsible, enthusiastic individuals to help coordinate events, support activities, and create a fun, safe environment for our kids. If you care about their well-being, growth, and the joy of the game, you’re exactly who we need.
Once you jump in, you might just fall in love with it! Volunteering with your Little League is incredibly rewarding—and it’s a beautiful way to build lasting friendships and be part of something bigger. Welcome to your "Baseball Family!!!"
⚾️ Anyone Can Volunteer!! ⚾️
It's crucial for all families to be aware that they are expected to volunteer for a minimum of approximately 10 hours each season, per player. While this may appear substantial, the time often passes quickly, and the full 10 hours may not always be necessary.
Whatever talents or skills you have, we can use them! Volunteers can be grandparents, siblings, aunts and uncles, retirees, community leaders, former Little Leaguers, friends, neighbors, and more! Any community member who wishes to become a volunteer may apply!
CHLL tries to obtain a “Buy-Out” list of volunteers for each season (a list of volunteers that you can pay to work your snack bar shift). However, often times there are very few people added to the list. You must be 18 or older (unless approved by the Board of Directors).
To be added to the "Buy-Out" list as a worker please reach out to our Volunteer Coordinator at [email protected]
As a parent/volunteer, you have the opportunity to spend quality time with your child in a safe, fun-filled environment. Oftentimes, parent and child social lives parallel each other. Volunteering allows your life and your child's life to intersect on common ground, with shared interests and goals. More often than not, baseball becomes a family affair!
On rare occasions, Little League may revoke the privilege of volunteering from individuals (through District Administrators and the local Board of Directors) for reasons that could jeopardize the safety and/or negatively impact the positive growth of young people, other volunteers, or Little League.
By applying to volunteer, you authorize CHLL to perform the required background checks.
