(note: no practice when HCPS are fully closed e.g. holidays, inclement weather)

Beginners age 13 through Adult: (kids must be enrolled in 7th grade or higher)
Required for beginners each practice: athletic pants, t-shirt, water bottle
Jackets: For beginners, we have some jackets to lend, but sizes and quantities are limited. If we do not have a jacket in your size available, you will need to purchase one.

After beginner session, participants must own: mask, glove, jacket, pants (men's, women's), underarm protector, long socks.
Electric Epee and Body cord purchase will also be required, but Coach will provide specifics

Coach Greg Paye has been fencing for over 40 years. In 2001 he won 1st place at the USA Fencing
Mid-Atlantic Men's Epee Championships, and today he occasionally competes in national Veteran competitions
(age 40+). He is certified Prévôt d'Epee with the U.S. Fencing Coaches' Assocation, and has completed
advanced coaching training with Polish Fencing Masters Zbigniew Czajkowski and Janusz Smolenski. His
professional experience includes the McDonogh School (Director of Summer Fencing Program), Johns
Hopkins University, Boston University, Boston Fencing Club, D.C. Fencers' Club, Baltimore Fencing Center,
and Goucher College.
