SCAA Baseball aligns our baseball divisions with Little League guidelines and the other Little League North Carolina District 3 associations. The structure builds our program from tee ball through majors/intermediates and then onto a full size field with the Little League junior and senior league program.

2025 Spring Baseball (16 & under) Little League

Review Little League's (LL) "league-age" chart to confirm the correct age level for your player.

· Steele Creek LL age-up players every Fall season to their next "league-age.”

· Steele Creek LL players transition to the 2025 LL age chart based on actual age as of 8/31/2025.

· A player’s league-age may be one year older than their current actual-age.

· Players remain at their same “league age” from Fall to Spring, and then age-up again the following Fall.

Players interested in playing up one "league-age" year must contact the Steele Creek baseball commissioner for more details. See the League policy for drafting teams including rules related to playing up for more details.

**Registrations will completely close for each age division once we reach the cap for that division. This could happen any time so do not wait to register! Uniforms are not be guaranteed to arrive before first games for any players who are registered after the initial deadline. Uniforms are ordered as soon as teams are drafted on a timeline to be received before the start of the season, however some unforeseen and uncontrollable delays may affect their arrival. Please register early to help the League volunteers plan for and order all needed uniforms and other equipment promptly! **

SCAA LL Divisions

Overview of SCAA Little League Divisions

Division	Primary Age Group*	Description
Tee Ball	4-6	Entry level division that focuses on fun, fitness, and fundamentals. Players use a softer ball and hit from a tee.
Machine Pitch	6-8	Introduces game-like pitching using a safe and accurate pitching machine to build confidence.
Minors	8-10	Transitions from pitching machine to player-pitch to prepare for Majors/Intermediate level.
Majors/Intermediate	10-12	Most competitive Little League player pitch level before moving to full size field.
Juniors/Seniors	13-16	Traditional baseball on a full-size field used in Middle School, High School, College, and the Pros.

April 5-6 – Evals Juniors, Seniors and 18U Try Outs
April 7 - Juniors, Seniors Draft
April 12 – 20, 2025 – Spring Break (Coaches may hold practice during this time)
April 22 - Practices resume
April 26 - Games resume
May 17, 2025 – All Star Balloting
May 24, 2025 – All Star Teams Announced
May 31, 2025 – Last Day of Regular Season
June 13 – 19, 2025 - Senior League and Minors Tentative District All-Stars
June 20-27, 2025 – Juniors League, Majors, and MP All-Stars
July 2025 – Babe Ruth State and Regional All-Star Tournaments

*Individual Team Schedules will come out after registrations close, and teams are formed. Families should plan on one practice and one game during the week and a Saturday game during the season. T-ball will be One weeknight practice and One Saturday game.

**The weekday practice days and times are determined by the needs of the coach.
