SCAA designed the Select Baseball program to complement the goals and standards of our Juniors and Seniors program, emphasizing player development, sportsmanship, and competition. We are expanding our program to include 13U, 14U, 15U, and 16-17U!  Players that participate in the Juniors or Seniors program are eligible and the 2026 Spring Season is designed to allow players to participate in the SCAA Juniors/Seniors season and/or play other spring sports (e.g., school teams).  Register for the tryouts below.

Tryouts are mandatory and selection is based on performance, skillset, and commitment. The number of players that tryout directly impacts the team selection process.  Players are encouraged to attend both try out sessions.  Register for the upcoming tryouts today!

Participation in the Select program does not imply or assure participation in the spring postseason District/State Tournament (All-Stars). These programs are separate and have independent roster selection processes.  Note, final team selection may require combining age groups.

Practices 
Practice schedules for the season will be determined following team selection but designed to allow players to participate in the Juniors/Seniors program and/or other fall sports (e.g., football).  SCAA is working to design a summer/fall training program for the Select teams with external, professional trainers. More information to follow soon!

Tournaments
Tournaments typically consist of weekend (Saturday and Sunday) tournaments in the greater Charlotte area. There may be an opportunity for a tournament in Myrtle Beach/Pawley's Island in Spring/Summer 2026 (tentative).  We are aiming to play in up to four (4) tournaments during the spring season.

Cost
The cost for Select team is currently being determined for the fall. More information will be available at the tryouts. Our goal is to create a competitive and cost-effective program that benefits player development within SCAA.  Cost will be based on external training, tournaments, and uniform(s) costs.
