Girls Travel League Basketball
This is the registration for our Girls Travel program for grades 4 thru 8. Placement on the team will be based on the girl's skill level as determined at the tryouts.
If you want to register for our In-house program for girls in grade 4-5 this is not the correct place to register, go back to the previous screen and click on the girl's in-house program.
Girls in grades 4 and 5 that do not make the travel team will have the opportunity to play on a in-house team.
The middle school girls' basketball program consists of AGBL, and Mid-Maryland travel league teams. These leagues offer players different levels of play based on their skills and their desired level of competition. Our goal is for every child to participate in our programs, and we are proud to be able to continue this valuable opportunity.
Antietam Girls Basketball League -- AGBL
This league is designed for more competitive 6th and 7th grade girls that are not selected to the Mid-Maryland travel teams. The girls will compete against other teams from Washington County and games will be held at Grace Academy. The season runs from November through March. Teams will meet multiple times per week (games are on Saturday). Teams will practice at a variety of locations including Smithsburg Middle School, Leitersburg Ruritan Community Center and other close locations if needed.
This team can consist of up to (8) 6th grade and (4) 7th grade girls. Players will be invited to join a travel team based upon the results of the tryouts. The amount of playing time each participant receives is at the discretion of the coaching staff.
Girls Mid-Maryland Travel League
This league is designed for the most competitive and committed players in the Smithsburg school district. Teams will compete against top players from Washington and Frederick Counties. The season runs from November through March with skills assessments in late October. Teams will meet multiple times per week (including Saturday/Sunday) and travel to various locations for practices or games.
Girl's league (Mid-Maryland) will consist of a Junior Varsity and a Varsity team. The JV team will be comprised of 6th and 7th grade girls, while the Varsity team will be comprised of the more advanced 6th, 7th, and 8th grade girls.
The Mid Maryland league requires student athletes to maintain their grades. Players must maintain a 2.0 G.P.A and have no failing grades. Grades are checked at beginning of season and again when grading period ends. No refunds will be given due to failing grades.
Players will be invited to join a travel team based upon tryout results.
The amount of playing time each participant receives is at the discretion of the coaching staff.
Registration is a two-step process:
Step 1: Register for Basketball Tryout (no money collected at this time)
Step 2: If accepted on a team log back into your account accept the positions on the teams and pay the registration fee by credit or debit card.
Basketball Tryouts for 2023 - 2024 season.
Tryouts will be held at the Leitersburg Ruritan Community Center 21427 Leiter Street Hagerstown MD 21742.
The tentative dates and time for tryouts is: Tuesday Oct 10th from 7pm until 9 pm
Players, coaches, and evaluators are the only ones permitted in the gym during tryouts.

Registration Fees collected after team selection and before first practice:
$130 for AGBL Teams or Mid-Maryland Teams
