Our cheerleading program is for participants entering grades 3-8 in the fall. Cheerleaders learn cheers, age appropriate stunts and dance routines throughout the year. They practice and learn these routines during weeknight practices. On weekends, they cheer at the South Hadley Youth Football games and will also take part in 1-2 competitions throughout the season. We welcome new cheerleaders to join the squad at any grade level.

Our cheerleaders are supported by the South Hadley Youth Cheerleading Association (SHYCA). The SHYCA board helps with fundraising for the end of year banquet, uniforms & equipment. Uniform Requirements:

Each cheerleader will be provided with the following once practice begins:

-Cheerleading Uniform

-Bloomers

-Turtleneck/Bodysuit

-Practice Shirt

-Socks

-Pom-poms

-Bow

Additional items may be required to be purchased for your cheerleader. The coach and or SHYCA will inform you of the requirements. Items may include:

-Jacket

-Proper cheerleading footwear

-Hair Ties

-Pants
