Baseball

Youth baseball is offered for boys in grades 1-8.  The older 5/6 and 7/8th age groups will have two options that are explained below (Tryouts vs. Non-Tryout).  Grades 1/2 is coach pitch, Grades 3/4, 5/6 and 7/8 is kid pitch.  We will have competitive tryout teams in the 5/6th and 7/8th grades that play in the JLS League, there are no requests for these two teams.  Our recreation division teams play in the Suburban Baseball League.

Grades 1-2 Recreation Baseball:

*Games are held in-town and are coach pitch.
*Season runs from the middle of April through the end of June.  If the weather is nice and fields are ready, we might start a little earlier.
*Teams will typically meet 2 times per week.  One weeknight time that is set for the season (coach decides) and a weekend practice and/or game(s).  We do not know your practice times in advance.

Grades 3/4, 5/6 and 7/8 Recreation Baseball:

*This division will involve some travel to various Western Mass communities and is kid pitch.
*Play is in the Suburban Baseball League:  https://www.leaguelineup.com/welcome.asp?url=wmasssuburbanbaseball
