The South Hadley Recreation Department has partnered with the GRO Community Garden to bring you the Youth GRO Community Garden Program!
This is an 8 week integrative and educational youth garden experience developed and instructed by seasoned gardeners and president/registered dietitian Dominique Deslauriers RD, LDN. They have expanded the program to offer a Part II Curriculum to build upon last year's topics. Didn't participate last year? No problem! We also offering Part I this year! The program will take at the community garden located at 100 Hadley St and is open to those currently in grades 2-8. Featured topics include: organic agriculture, pollination, composting, sustainability, farm to table approach, gardening at home, and more! Parent participant is allowed & encouraged in this program.
Program Dates:
June 24
July 1, 8, 15, 22 & 29
August 5 & 12
Program Time:
Part I: 3-4pm
Part II: 4-5pm
Program Fee: $45 per child/per session*
*You can take both Part I & Part II simultaneously if you would like.
